Marissa, Founder & Creative Director
The creative force behind The Home Narrative, Marissa is an accomplished designer with over a decade of hands on industry experience. Her expertise is the result of years of immersive learning and practical application, beginning in 2009 when she and her husband purchased and began renovating their first home. This transformative experience ignited her passion for creating spaces that are as beautiful as they are functional, setting her on a path to becoming the trusted designer she is today.
Though her path into interior design was unconventional, it's precisely this unique background that sets Marissa apart. With a formal education in law and lifelong dedication to fine arts- specifically painting- she combines meticulous attention to detail with an artist's eye for beauty. Her years as a painter honed a rare and valuable skill: the ability to see color and undertones with unmatched precision, a talent that has become her hallmark in crafting spaces that feel balanced, harmonious and deeply personal.
Marissa's design philosophy is rooted in storytelling. She believes that every home should reflect the people who live there, approaching each project with the care and creativity it deserves.
